Strategic Initiatives
Current Strategic Initiatives
NJCU is currently working on major strategic initiatives to further our mission and success of our students. Through this important work we are bolstering our university’s long-term value to our students, faculty, staff, alumni, supporters, and communities.
Strategic Planning Process
During the summer of 2020, NJCU began the process of developing a strategic plan that builds upon the vision and accomplishments of the previous plan: Transforming Lives.
Led by Vice President for Advancement and Chief Strategy Officer Jason Kroll with some help from Deloitte to provide research, context and direction, the planning process is mainly the work of our own teams.
Visit the Strategic Planning section of our website for more information, analysis, and timelines.
Academic Portfolio/Efficiency and Administrative Services Review
NJCU is undertaking a review process to analyze our programs and services to better understand the return on investment they provide in supporting our mission and the success of our students. Ultimately, our findings will help NJCU respond proactively to longstanding external challenges to higher education.
Tamara Jhashi, Provost and Senior Vice President, and Jason Kroll, Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, have agreed to co-lead these projects. They will be supported by a steering team and partnering with rpk GROUP, a leading national consulting firm supporting colleges, universities and other non-profits with their growth and reallocation strategies.
